You can now do A/B testing on Amazon A+ content to check which version works best

Just recently Amazon has been piloting an exciting and useful new tool: we can now do A/B testing on A+ content. For now it’s only for Vendors, but will probably be made available to Sellers who have registered their brand on Amazon (and therefore own it) in due course.

What is A+ content?

A+, otherwise called Enhanced Brand Content for sellers, is the enriched content with pictures, including more text ‘below the fold’ (below the main presentation of the product on computer screens, when you scroll down). On mobile, depending on the category, it could be right below the product picture, even before the bullet points.

We’ve tested A+ on many products in different categories, and found it can boost your sales by 5–10%. The quality of the content makes a huge difference — for instance, if you have brand ambassadors pictured, or emotional pictures that will touch the customer.

What is A/B testing?

A/B testing is when a product has two separate versions of content both selling at the same time, to test which is more effective.
